GRAND PRIX HASSAN II OF INNOVATION
The new process of water treatment by activated oil shales, developed by Dr Omar Bekri and Pr. Hassan Hannache of Hassan II University, patented locally and worldwide (WO2008014526 & US20090308793), was presented to the 4th World Exhibition of Invention and Innovation, and earned CHAPEM to win the 1998 Hassan II Grand Prix of Innovation.
APPROVAL OF THE MINISTRY OF ENERGETIC TRANSITION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
According to the new Mining Code, only mining companies can file research mining permits applications. Dr Bekri is approved by the Ministry of Energetic Transition and Sustainable Development as an expert for establishing or reviewing applications submitted to the Ministry for mining research permits awarding that include geological and mining reports as well as proposed budgeted work programmes.
